Standard Contracts

The Standard nGDS contract approved by DH solicitors is now available from the Department’s website. The standard PDS agreement (where the PCT is not providing services under the agreement) is also available.

Contract Variations

Following a range of helpful comments on the model contracts issued in December 2005, the Department of Health has asked its lawyers to review and revise the drafting of both the GDS Standard Contract document and Standard Clauses for a PDS Agreement.

The amendments are mainly of a technical nature, correcting cross references and numbering, but one or two additional clauses have been added where the meaning was unclear to users.

GDS and PDS versions of a Variation Notice which PCTs will need to issue where contracts or agreements have already been signed. PCTs should use the 13 March versions of the Standard Contract and Clauses for PDS agreements in all cases where the relevant documents have not yet been signed by the parties.

GDS Prescribing Profile information.  

 

 

On November 29th 2005, the Acting CDO sent out a letter highlighting important information from the dental Practice Board (DPB) to all dentists in England currently holding GDS contracts. The DPB material enclosed gives further details on prescribing profiles and raises key issues around the new GDS and PDS contracts.

Entitlements

Statements of Financial Entitlements

Click here to access the SFEs for PDS and GDS.  These were updated on 27 April to reflect the DDRB uplift for 06/07.

Claim form

The claim form for use by dentists in claiming payments under the SFE is available for download here.  This is the form referred to as 'set nationally and available electronically' in the Statement of Financial Entitlements.
