PCTs have taken an easy first step to tackle excess claims in one of the biggest areas of the GOS budget – provision in care homes.
East Sussex PCTs developed template letters to send to care homes and GOS providers reminding them of the NHS regulations and the memorandum of understanding, which is based on agreements between the DH and the representative bodies.
