Dental Contract Management Handbook v1.1
This handbook is for use by PCT teams involved in the management of primary care dental contracts. Since March 2009, one of the goals of the Dental Access Programme has been to support the NHS to manage local contracts to ensure quality, performance and value for money. To support this goal, the handbook brings together the latest evidence and best practice. It provides a complete set of references and a knowledge map to the latest legislation and guidance and provides practical tools to improve contract management processes.

E Reporting
E Reporting is a secure online web-based reporting facility that enables PCTs to:
• view existing NHS DS designed reports within a user friendly online interface
• refresh template reports
• query, analyse and drill down through the data that is collected from Payments Online (POL) and the FP17 and FP17O activity reports
• monitor performance through headline figures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using information visualisation tools (“dashboards”) that make the data more visually informative
Access to the E Reporting system is limited to nominated individuals who hold a system licence and have attended the relevant NHS DS training courses.
