Premises rules made simple: finance and CQC standards

8 February 2012

By April 2013, primary medical care providers will need to demonstrate that their premises meet quality and safety standards. One in six falls short of the standards today.

The last few places are available at a PCC workshop which provides a clear and simple guide to premises funding and regulations for general practice, including:

  • The pros and cons of the two different funding arrangements for premises owned by a practice or partnership
  • Notional rent abatement - the reduction in reimbursement to a practice by the PCT as a result, for instance, of an improvement grant
  • The minimum standards for quality and safety as detailed in legislation and the essential standards required for CQC registration
  • The role of the forthcoming Premises Audit tool in simplifying premises reviews

The workshop is in Leeds on 28 February.
