The NHS Information Centre has published its latest set of dental statistics showing improvements in the number of patients seen across all SHAs, courses of treatment delivered and dental activity. The data shows that access to NHS dentistry is back up to the level of March 2006, before the new dental contract was introduced. A million more patients have accessed an NHS dentist in the last 24 months compared to the period ending June 2008.
