PCTs are devising tools including service frameworks and balanced scorecards that enable meaningful comparisons to be made of primary care services and providers.

These tools are useful to PCTs as performance managers, helping to identify examples of best practice and where extra support may be needed. Making them more widely available should stimulate further development. Anyone involved in commissioning at a PCT can view the subscriber pages of the site, but you will need to register first.
